What am I exactly doing?

Hello everyone!! This journey of studying and experiencing fashion has been incredible. I have learned so much! I finally got Ashlyn's measurements and my fabric so now I can get started.

I didn't think this topic was gonna be easy but I didn't think it was so complexed. There are so many concepts that go into making clothes. One thing I learned that I didn't know before is that you have to get 4 different measurements on your model such as; her bust, waist, girth, and hips. I only thought you were suppose to measure her hips and upper body part.

Fabric is another obstacle I came across. There was so many different patterns I couldn't choose. And I didn't know if I wanted cotton or a silk fabric. But silk is expensive so I stuck with cotton. Now that I have a better outlook of making clothes, I can finally get started. I will surely keep you guys updated on my progress.

Why did I choose this topic?

When coming to the time to pick a topic for genius hour, I knew exactly what I was gonna do. If you guys have clearly seen what I wear on a daily bases, you can tell that I am totally into fashion. As I say, "Fashion Is my passion!"

Even though I love the fashion world, I was still contemplating on if I should do it or not. I was scared that if I try making my own clothes, I was going to drastically fail. But isn't that what Genius hour is for? Atleast you get to have fun failing because your doing something you truly love. That's the realization I had to come to.

After finally realizing it, I had to get started because I only have like 5 weeks. So this weekend I will finally go an get my fabric and get started!! I will keep everyone updated so keep reading my awesome and wonderful blog!
